This year St. Thomas Dragway in Ontario, Canada is hosting 2 exciting events that we sure to give the spectators and racers a taste of something different. When Dave Mathers, St. Thomas Dragway owner, was approached with the idea of a Can/Am Gasser showdown he ecstatically said "Go For It!" His track has been in existence since 1962 and has been a major promoter of Nostalgic racing events in Southern Ontario.
Tim Timosyzk of the Great Lakes Gassers says he has 6 American Gassers that are planning to Come to Canada and " Kick some Butt. " Guess what Tim, in your dreams, we are not going to let that happen!!!!! We have at least 6 Canadian cars ready and waiting!!
We are sure the all new Can/Am Gasser Series will interest a new segment of the Nostalgia racing crowd who are looking for something a little different.
The first ever Can/Am Gasser Series event takes place August 15th, 2009 followed by a second event October 10th. Both events take place at St. Thomas Dragway in Ontario, Canada. See you at the races!
